Spanish partner CTA shared ZEST’s latest advances and explored collaboration opportunities through networking and B2B meetings.
The European research project ZEST took part in the 16th International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (IFIB 2026), held on 1–2 October at WeGil in Rome, Italy. Spanish project partner CTA attended the event to showcase ZEST’s achievements and engage with key stakeholders in the bioeconomy sector.

Organised by the Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SPRING and Innovhub, IFIB is one of Europe’s leading forums for industrial biotechnology and the circular bioeconomy.
The event brings together researchers, industry representatives, start-ups, investors and policymakers from around the world to exchange knowledge, showcase innovative solutions and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Beyond the lab
During the forum, CTA participated in networking activities and bilateral meetings, presenting ZEST’s objectives and key developments as the project enters the second half of its implementation period.
