The event reinforced the strategic role of transnational cooperation in advancing sustainable, circular bioeconomy solutions across Europe.
A delegation of Spanish scientists and bioeconomy experts visited the headquarters of the Danish Technological Institute (DTI), coordinator of the ZEST project, on March 24 to gain deeper insight into the project’s mission, vision, and progress to date.
The technical visit, which brought together around twenty researchers in Taastrup, provided an ideal setting to showcase how ZEST is focused on designing a flexible, AI-driven fermentation system for the production of fungal-based protein ingredients for both human and pet food applications, as well as valuable by-products for the cosmetics industry.
Beyond its informative scope, the workshop also served as a platform to explore synergies among ongoing research initiatives and to identify mutually beneficial opportunities for future collaboration.
The event reinforced the strategic importance of transnational cooperation in advancing sustainable, circular bioeconomy solutions across Europe, particularly among the countries directly involved in the project, such as Spain and Denmark.
